Presently endodontists (root canal specialists) use magnifying equipment to manipulate and work in the canals of your tooth. Unfortunately, a microscope can only follow a canal, as long as the canal is straight and in range of vision. A 3D image can do more than that. With our high-quality scans an endodontist can:
- Evaluate cross sections of the tooth at any desired level.
- Evaluate any bone changes around your roots that may suggest cracked tooth syndrome which is not visible under a microscope or radiograph.
- Determine a prognosis based on correlations with surrounding bone and structures.
